Cherished Blood is a novel portraying the exciting life of Tony Capoldi of Naples, Italy, beginning in 1890. Because of his skill in tae-kwon-do, (a form of ju-jitsu), he was hired by the Mafia and made chief enforcer of all of Italy, except Sicily. He fell in love with Rose Morrini, daughter of Martin Morrini, co-owner of the Morrini shoe empire, and bore a son. Tony fled to America and once again worked for the Mafia (Masso Family).

The Family wanted to expand the garment business and moved to the anthracite coal region of Pennsylvania where the business flourished. During Prohibition era they entered the bootlegging business transporting whiskey from Canada. Capoldi became wealthy beyond his wildest dreams. What follows is a tale of Mafia power, violence, hijacking, prostitution, loan sharking, violent labor unrest, and the Kelayrles Massacre.
